The 850kgf engine developed by ZhongFaTianXin passed the technical appraisal

TheAVIC Chengdu Aircraft Industrial (Group) Co., Ltd. convened a review meeting toapprove the technical appraisal of the 850kgf engine developed by ZhongFaTianXinin Chengdu on January 24, 2022.

The850kgf turbojet engine is the only 10kN aero-engine with a full-authoritynumerical control system in China. The assembly model has been placed in WingLoong X UAV for a flight test, which is the first high-altitude high-speed dronefor military and trade purposes and has completed the assessment of all flighttest items specified for the prototype development.   

Theparticipating experts and representatives at the review meeting heard thesummary and report on the research and development by ZhongFaTianXin, AVIC CAC andAVIC Military Trade Representative Office in CAIC. The technical appraisalreview panel concluded after the discussion that: ZhongFaTianXin has completedthe engine development and gone through the technical appraisal according tothe development requirements; besides, the 850kgf engine has satisfied thespecified technical specifications and operational requirements in terms offunctioning and performance.

Havingpassed the technical appraisal, the 850kgf engine is about to be put into massproduction and will provide sustainable power for high-altitude and high-speeddrones in China. ZhongFaTianxin will continue to intensify its technologicalinnovation to develop a portfolio of turbojet/turbofan engines of differentthrusts based on the requirements of main engine plants and offer a full rangeof power support and services for drones, business jets, cruise missiles,distributed energy systems, etc. from China and foreign countries.
